Respected teachers, dear students, and everyone present here,
Today, November 26th, is a very special day for all of us. It’s Constitution Day! On this day in 1949, our Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India. This constitution is the true foundation of our freedom, giving us equality, justice, and liberty. Today, I want to share a few thoughts with you that connect to our everyday lives.
First, let’s talk about what the constitution is. Under Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s leadership, the Constituent Assembly worked hard for nearly three years to create it. It has 395 articles and 12 schedules, which still guide our country today. The preamble of the constitution is like the heart of our values- justice, liberty, equality, and brotherhood. These aren’t just words on paper; they should live in our hearts.
In today’s fast world, where we’re busy with social media and our daily routines, the constitution’s importance never fades. For example, our fundamental rights let us speak freely, get an education, and follow our religion. But these rights come with responsibilities. The constitution tells us to protect the environment, keep our nation united, and think scientifically. I once visited a small village where people were running a cleanliness drive based on Article 51-A of the constitution. Such examples show us that the constitution isn’t just a book it’s a way of life.

My dear student friends, you are the future of our country. On Constitution Day, promise that you’ll treat everyone equally, without any discrimination. When you vote, remember the values of the constitution. Today, democracy faces challenges in many parts of the world, but our constitution the world’s largest written constitution unites 140 crore people. Dr. Ambedkar once said, “No matter how good a constitution is, it won’t work if the people running it aren’t good.” These words are still true today.
In the end, I want to say that Constitution Day is not just about celebrating it’s about living its values. Let’s all work together to build a stronger, fairer India. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
Thank you.
